The staff of the Henrietta G. Lewis Library welcomes you! The library has temporarily moved from D building to the 2nd floor of G building, the Student Center. We have moved our entire collection for a period of approximately two years to accommodate the renovation of the library-learning commons. We still house over 80,000 volumes and over 200 active periodical subscriptions, in addition to many back issues of periodicals kept for research purposes. We have 20 desktop computers for your use, along with laptops, MacBooks and iPads. Our homepage will link you to about 100 databases for finding articles, which then gives you access to over 25,000 journals and newspapers, most in full text on the screen. Study rooms are available for group study. This guide will focus on the resources and services available through the Circulation Dept in the library.
NCCC's Henrietta G. Lewis Library is open during the semester on Monday through Thursday from 8am till 9pm. Friday hours are 8am till 4pm, and on Saturday the Library is open from 11am till 3pm. Holiday and summer hours are different but are always posted on the library's homepage for your convenience.
All you need to circulate a book or use any library materials is your valid student ID, issued by security.
The Circulation Desk is the first point of library contact for many NCCC students. It is located on the 2nd floor of G Bldg., in room G-209. This is the place where materials are checked out, renewed and returned. In order to check out a book as a student, you will need a valid NCCC ID card, issued in the Security Office. Special Community Borrower cards are issued to members of the local community who wish to use the collection and circulate a limited type and number of books.
Call the Circulation Dept. at 716-614-6783.
