As a student, the college deposits $40 on your ID card per semester for printing costs. You may use this money to pay for printing in the Library or in the Learning Commons, located in G-218. Additional money may be added to your account if you use your allotted amount before the end of the semester. The computers default to the black and white printers, but for a slightly higher fee, you may print in color.
Any items turned into the Library staff, or found in the Library by the staff will be kept at the Circulation Desk, with the exception of wallets, which will be sent to the Security office.
There is a copy machine and a scanner in the Reserve room of the Library, G-201 which may be used by students. The cost of a single sided copy is $.15 per page. You may set the machines to make double sided copies, though you are charged by the side, not by the page. You must use money to pay for a copy. You also have the option of scanning to a flash drive from either the printer or scanner, and then using that to print from one of the computers with your $40 of printing credit.
Though the Library is not able to hand out supplies freely, we have placed staplers, hole punchers, scrap paper and pencils in several places for your use.
Available in the Library are a limited number of study rooms, maintained for group study. All the study rooms are equipped with media equipment which allows groups to view videos or DVDs together. Study room keys may be signed out by groups of at least two people at the Reserve Desk for a period of two hours. At least one of the group members must remain in the room at all times for security purposes. The library reserves the right to close access to these rooms at various times when we do not have the staff available to monitor the area.
The librarians are here to help you with your research needs. Feel free to ask any of the librarians for help at any time. There is always a librarian at the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor of G, between the Reserve room and the reference computer area for your assistance.
