Circulation of Reserve Items

Course Reserves are kept behind the circulation/reserves desk, alphabetically by course number. It is helpful if you know the course number, eg. ENG 102, and the instructor's name, as there are often several instructors teaching the same course, each with different material they want their students to read.

You must have your NCCC student ID with you in order to charge out a reserve item. Most reserve items must be used in the library and circulate for a period of 2 hours. They are able to be renewed if there is no one waiting for the item. In addition to books and articles, faculty often place media/ AV items on reserve.

There are a few reserve items that may circulate outside the library overnight, or for a period of 3 days. It is up to the discretion of the individual faculty member whether or not the reserve items may circulate, and for how long.
