Quiet Study

Do you need a quiet environment in order to study effectively? We strive to make the Library a quiet place for you. The Library has seating throughout the third and fourth floors for your convenience.

There is a limited number of small rooms that have been designated as Quiet Study Rooms.  You may sign out a key for one of these rooms for two hours if you have a group of two or more students who need a quiet place to work together.  You must return the key after two hours, and if no one else is waiting for a room, you may sign it out again.  Because of the high demand for these rooms, please do not leave your belongings in an unattended study room.

Welcome to the Library Guide for ENG 101, Pam Lange, Fall 2019!  The Library at NCCC houses over 90,000 volumes and over 300 print periodical subscriptions.  We have desktop computers for your use, along with laptops and Kindles that you may check out.  We subscribe to over 100 databases for finding articles, which gives you access to over 25,000 journals and newspapers.  Study rooms are available for group study, and there are tables and booths on the upper two floors where you can spread out and study.

This guide has been developed especially for your class, to give you an idea of the sources and services available to you in your college library.  Click on the blue tabs above to start your research.
