The Henrietta G. Lewis Library at SUNY Niagra offers a wide variety of resources and services. Our collection includes books, CDs, DVDs, course reserves, and more. We also subscribe to many print periodicals including magazines, journals, and newspapers as well as online databases. We provide research assistance and instruction.
Originally known as SUNY Niagara's Library Learning Center, the Library was renamed as the Henrietta G. Lewis Library in 2005 in honor of the Grigg-Lewis Foundation's gift to the College.
If you have any questions, please ask a librarian at the reference desk. We are here to help you!
Students are expected to follow the SUNY Niagara Student Code of Conduct and Computer Use Policy while in the library.
Quiet study and communication at low volume is expected in the library at all times. If someone is disturbing you, please let a library staff member know.
Anyone listening to audio from a computer, phone or other device, must please use earbuds. There are earbuds available at the circulation desk.
We ask that cell phones be set to vibrate, and that you carry on your phone conversations outside of the library.
For the safety of the collection and the cleanliness of the space, only covered drinks are allowed in the library. Food is not permitted.
In order to check out any materials in the library, you need to present your current SUNY Niagara ID card. You may obtain a student ID card in Security, G106.
Each person is responsible for items checked out on his or her record. We suggest that you DO NOT check out material for another person.
All visitors must exit with their belongings through the gates at the main entrance/exit located on the second floor. Please see circulation desk for accommodation requests.
The library begins the shut down process 15 minutes prior to closing.
We are a WNYLRC AcademicShare library. Therefore, AcademicSHARE Member libraries agree to allow on-site access and lend materials to any current college student, staff, and/or faculty member from another WNYLRC member academic library. However, at minimum, a verifiable valid college I.D. is required. The library may choose to treat the college I.D. as confirmation the student/faculty member is in good standing. Other proof of identification or status may be required.
